Why now

Most animals that need imaging never get it.

Imaging stays in the referral hospital

Many general practices have no ultrasound on site. The patient waits, or goes without.

Referrals take days

A specialist read means a second appointment, a second drive, and days of waiting for the answer.

Herd pregnancy checks still rely on palpation

Accurate, but late and hard on the arm. Ultrasound confirms weeks earlier.

The product

One handheld. Three things a probe alone can't do.

The Healium VetScan handheld: a white dual-probe device with a deep probe on one end and a shallow probe on the other.

Scan

One dual-probe handheld. Deep for abdomens and pregnancy, shallow for tendons, bladders, and eyes. No swapping scanners.

Guide

On-screen AI guidance plus an image-quality check, so a first-year vet or a trained technician gets a scan a specialist can read.

Review

Send any scan to a licensed veterinary specialist through Healium Sono. Every scan lives in the cloud record.

How it works

  1. App screen: species preset picker.

    Pick a species preset

Choose the animal. Settings load instantly.

  2. App screen: live scan with guidance arrows and a green quality meter.

    Follow the on-screen guidance

    Save, share, or request review

Save it, share it, or escalate it.

AI guidance and remote review

The two things a typical probe doesn't ship with.

Guided scanning

What it does

Shows where to move the probe. Checks image quality before you save. Loads the right preset for the species.

What it does not do

It does not diagnose. The read comes from you or the reviewing specialist.

Specialist review, one tap away

You tap Request review on any saved scan.

The scan and case notes go to Healium Sono.

A licensed veterinary specialist reads it.

The specialist's report lands back in your app.

Why not a cheaper probe?

FAQ

Last questions.

When does it ship, and what will it cost?

Healium VetScan is in pre-launch, and we're setting the shipping window and founding-partner pricing with our first clinics and farms now. Join the early-access list and we'll send you both directly, within two business days. Whatever the price, you won't need a subscription to scan.

Which phones and tablets does it work with?

Healium VetScan works with a phone or tablet through the Healium VetScan app. We'll publish the full list of supported devices and minimum operating-system versions before shipping, and early-access members get it first. If you have a particular device in mind, mention it when you sign up and we'll confirm it for you.

How much training do my staff need?

Very little — that's what the guidance is for. Pick a species preset, follow the on-screen overlay, and save when the quality check turns green. It's built so a first-year vet or a trained technician can capture a scan a specialist can read. We'll share onboarding details with founding partners before devices ship.

What does specialist review cost?

Specialist review is optional. You can scan, save, and share without it. When you want a second opinion, tap Request review and a licensed veterinary specialist reads the scan through Healium Sono. Review pricing will be shared with early-access members before launch.

What about service and warranty?

We'll confirm the warranty term and replacement policy before devices ship, and early-access members will see them first. For questions in the meantime, email info@healiumintelliscan.com or call +1 (302) 310-4257.

How is this different from Healium's human device?

Healium VetScan is built for animals. It carries presets for dogs and cats, cattle, sheep and goats, horses, and exotics; its review network is licensed veterinary specialists through Healium Sono; and it is a veterinary product, so every claim we make covers veterinary use only. It comes from the same team as Healium Intelliscan's human imaging work.
